  • The first one next to me is a portrait in the styles of Van Gogh. Starry Night inspired me.
  • The one in the middle is in Kevin Bacon's style, which is to blend different colours together.
  • The last one is in the style of graffiti.

These are paintings that I sold for charity. They are both 11" x 20".

 WATERCOLOUR PENCILS

                                                           -Companionship Versus Loneliness-

This is one of my proud artworks. During my last semester at Dawson, my program had a vernissage. Each student had to work on an artwork throughout the semester.

I decided to chose a theme. At first I wanted to focus on love versus war. However, I do not enjoy drawing about war that I changed it to loneliness.

I used watercolour pencils to create this artwork. Now, because of it's largeness, I had to work on it a few hours a day. the artwork is actually made up of four pieces of white watercolour paper, mounted on thin wood. Over the painting/drawing itself is plexy glass.

This painting may seem small on screen, but it is actually 4 feet by 5 feet. This artwork took over 48 hours of work.

                               -Mystical Creatures Gone Wrong-

                     Watercolour Pencils on Watercoulour Paper

                                            24" x 30"

This is yet another one of my favorites. This was made for one of my art classes at Dawson College. The assignment was to create a monster or monsters. I do not like creating monsters so it took me a long time to come up with this idea. I am drawn to aesthetically pretty and vibrant coloured things or artworks. So I decided I wanted to incorprate mystical creatures as my monster project.

When you first look at this artwork quickly, you see vibrant colours and fairies. However, when you actually look and analyze the drawing you see that all the mystical creatures are not the usual goody goody two-shoes image it usually has.

My idea for this project was to show that even things that are supposed to be mystical and have a good image can also have a bad side. Basically, all the mystical creatures I incoprated in this artwork were: fairies, unicorn, moon, and mermaid. All the creatures have turned bad by using drugs and alcohol.

Look deeper to the artwork and you will understand "Mystical Creatures Gone Wrong".
